Unity, New Hampshire

Unity is not only a beautiful place; it’s also a wonderful feeling, isn’t it?

“What we build in Unity will end on the steps of the Capitol when Barack Obama takes the oath of office as our next president.”

- Sen.Hillary Clinton

Well they both played very, very nice. She made a good plea about what her values were, why the drove her campaign and how Sen.Obama was so much closer to her values than were McCains. And she did it very gracefully and forcefully.

Another good line was that New Hampshire “has a special place in my heart and I’m here today so that come November, New Hampshire will have a special place in Barack Obama’s heart as well.”

Read a more in-depth version over at the NYT.

Meanwhile, John McCain tried to crash the party:

"Well, I understand it [the Obama-Clinton event],” McCain said. “And I've been noting in the media that they are making efforts in that direction, so I don't have any additional comment except to say that I do think we are able to attract some of Sen. Clinton's supporters, not so much because of any reason than that they think that I may serve America best. I had a woman at a town hall meeting yesterday at Xavier who was wearing a Hillary hat, I was pleased that she was there and I was pleased to respond to her comments. I continue to -- I think that this election I have to get Republican votes, Independent votes and the old and new Reagan Democrats.”

Now that we’re beyond Hillary, we can look forward to the first female VP, Sarah Palin, to become the first female President of the United States in 4 years!

Don't think we'll be seeing Her on either ticket. Alaskan Governor's don't hold much sway. Sure it'd guarantee the state for either candidate, but it seems difficult to see how that'd play for either side considering that it'd look like pandering to women.

I believe Palin's base of voters transcends geography; and her own remarkable accomplishments and background are way beyond being a woman, so would not be pandering. She's the real deal. Read up on her bio.
