But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

Meek cornering the market
According to the Miami Herald, Kendrick Meek now has the endorsement of the United Teachers of Dade. Quite the shot to Gelber and Burns there by the Union. It should be interesting to see what the Union will do for him against two folks who they may have to work with later anyways. It's still pretty early, and while Meek is building an aura of being unstoppable, we all remember what happened to Hillary. Should be interesting to see if Gelber or Burns can nail down an endorsement of their own.
